ON MISSION: From Saddle Horn to the Horn of Africa
One day there came this knock on the door. And I opened the door, and it was this beautiful, black, shiny face with the whitest cap on I have ever seen in my life. It was a kid. He said, “I want you to know that we have been up all night praying for you.”
Nobody knew me as a missionary. I was a teacher of English as a second language. The first day after the class, we were walking down the alleyway. It was not very far at all to our hotel room, and there was one of my students, a young guy who looked younger than the others and had a small build, and he was waiting on me. And he said, “We have been waiting on you. We have been praying for you, and we’ve been waiting on you to get here.”
Follow the conversion of a young girl and her subsequent call to Africa later in life. Journey with her from a small town in Eastern Oklahoma to the faraway lands in the Horn of Africa.
